Weight Watchers Is The Number One Weight Loss Plan

2012 Most Popular Diets

The majority of people who seriously want to lose weight visit the well-known website Diets in Review. It stands to reason people rely on groups like weight watchers to support them, Beyoncé’s maple syrup diet may be one of Google’s most visited sites but losing a few pounds by joining a group is far easier.

For the past five years diet reviewers have recorded their web traffic so that they could work out which weight loss plan was the one that weight watchers continually followed and talked about. Diets in review have followed the 2012 diet trends but only yesterday they released the names of the 25 most popular weight loss plans for the year.

Weight Watchers was Diets in Review number one weight loss plan and Medifast and The 17 Day Diet came second and third. The publishing director for Diets in Review stated that the site tracked unique visitors as opposed to ordinary searches and it indicated the type of diet plan that people were following. Naturally everyone who visits the site does not intend to go on a weight watchers diet, some people are just curious, especially dieters who have tried all of the quick fix and faddy ways of losing weight.

The P.I.N.K Method is a weight loss plan that includes a three phase approach towards nutrition combined with DVD workouts and this weight loss brand appears in Google’s top ten searches. Earlier in the year this diet was talked about on popular television shows and it was aided by a strong marketing campaign. Some who reviewed the diet felt that the plan was sensible if not a bit silly but they still gave it their approval. Some experts think that the P.I.N.K. Plan is a flash in the pan whereas weight watchers are here to stay.

My Best Diet That Works: Adkins and the Dukan Diet

After the birth of my son I needed to lose a lot of weight.  I am embarrassed to say I gained almost 80 pounds during my pregnancy and it is now time to take it off.  I figured that once I was done nursing the weight would melt away, but that is not what has happened.  Initially I lost about 40 pounds, but now I still have 40 more to go.  I have been on the search for the best diets that work.  I think I have tried them all.  I tried the Atkins diet, the dukan diet plan, Weight Watchers and even tried Nutrisystem.  What follows is my experience with them all.

The Atkins diet was easy to stick to, but the problem was if I cheated for even a little bit, all of the weight I had lost came right back on in spades!  I liked the fact that I could eat bacon and cheese, but the calories I was consuming were astronomical.  This diet did not work for me.

The dukan diet plan was doable.  I didn’t eat as many high fat proteins and I liked the variety of the different stages.  I also like the oat bran pancakes I was allowed to eat.  I lost a little weight on this and I liked it.

Nutri system was expensive and the food tasted awful.  You are suppose to eat fresh vegetables and a salad along with the pre-packaged foods, but all in all it was not worth it. I lost five pounds in a month, but I couldn’t see this being a long term experience for me.

Weight watchers was a winner for me.  It taught me how to eat in a way that was sustainable.  I liked learning how to cook with healthy foods and what ideal portions were.  When I got lazy, I liked that I could pull out a frozen meal that was pretty tasty.  I ended up losing about 20 pounds on weight watchers and it is now a way of life for me.

Exercise Bike Reviews and the York C102 Cycle – Great for Helping With a Weight Loss Program

I recently decided to buy an exercise bike to help me lose weight and burn the extra calories I seemed to have accumulated around the Christmas period.  All that good food and sitting around had taken its toll!  The reason I decided to use an exercise bike was because I have joined gyms in the past, and have usually ended up wasting my monthly membership fees as I struggle to motivate myself to actually go.

There are many exercise bike reviews on the web that pointed me towards using an upright stationary exercise bike.  Upright versions tend to help you not only do your lower half, but also works your upper body a lot better than recumbent exercise bikes do.

Why I chose the York Fitness C102 cycle

I ended up choosing a York C102 exercise bike as it was affordable and very compact.  I don’t have huge amounts of room at home as I live in an apartment.  I have managed to store it in a cupboard so it doesn’t get in the way.  As far as cheap spinning bikes go this has really good reviews and feedback online which helped me to select it.

I love using it though, and one of the best features is the LCD Computer display over the handlebars.  This lets me see how many calories I have burnt off plus the distance and speed I have travelled.

Helps me to motivate myself to lose weight

For someone not great at motivating myself, having this data at my fingertip has helped as I now set myself daily targets to beat, which encourages me to get back in the saddle. I am now managing to churn out 10 miles a day on my York C102 cycle.

You might think this would be boring, but York Fitness put a small magazine holder above the handlebars.  I tend to cycle when I get home from work and either watch television as I go or put my latest book in the holder and read that instead.  I now know that exercise doesn’t have to be boring.

In terms of resistance – in other words how hard you have to pedal – there are eight difficulty levels.  So I can start off with a leisurely cycle, and then after a bit of time pretend I am attacking a steep hill.  It’s really painful – but they do say “no pain no gain” and using my exercise bike is proof of that!

Have I managed to lose any weight?

It’s taken me two months, but in that time I’ve lost nearly twelve pounds.  The great thing is, it has been fun doing it and I’ve been able to use my exercise bike in the privacy of my own home and at my own pace.  There’s not much effective exercise that tends to be that straight forward so I would thoroughly recommend you do the same.  Try out an exercise bike and see if it can help you.

Finding a Diet that Works Quickly for You

It is not easy to find a diet that actually works, because each of us is very different and what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another. Everyone want to know which diets that work quickly and easily, but what they should be asking is which diets work quickly and easily for me! We have put together a list of common diets that work that you may be interested in researching and why they might work for you.

Common Diets that Work

The Low Carb Diet – Examples Atkins, South Beach

Who should look at it – If your diet consists of primarily carbohydrates and processed foods then this may be a good diet for you. It will focus your attention on the items you are probably not eating enough of, vegetables and protein. By minimizing or cutting out the carbohydrates completely you will learn to eat foods that are more nutritionally beneficial, and over the long term learn to balance your carbohydrates better.

Support System Diet – Examples Weight Watchers

Who should look at it – if you are looking from some emotional support, or want to find some friends who have the same interests as you, then you may benefit from joining Weight Watchers. The New Weight Watchers Points Plus Program is a diet that works because it focuses your attention on eating a nutritionally balanced diet, gives you some extra points for yummy splurges and encourages you to take part in activity. You can follow Weight Watchers online and/or with weekly meetings. Tracking what you eat is very beneficial and weekly meetings offer support, encouragement and educational discussions on weight loss topics.

Vegan Diets – Examples The Kind Diet, The Skinny Bitch Diet

Who should look at it – Much attention has been brought to the vegan movement. If you are looking to remove animal products from your diet and want to follow an organic unprocessed diet then a Vegan diet might be for you. This is a very challenging diet to follow and people considering this approach will have to do a lot of research and planning to make sure their vegan diets are nutritionally balanced.

Food Plan Diets – Example Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem

Who should look at it – If you have the money to spend on these more expensive approaches then you may like to take the thinking out of your diet. Having breakfast, lunch and dinner pre-made for you every day is an easy way to stay on your program. If you don’t get bored by the generic frozen or freeze dried packaged foods then this may be a good approach for you to start. It will get you eating a healthy and balanced diet right away while you learn how to eat out, cook healthier and eventually adapt the healthy lifestyle to your day to day routine.

In conclusion, think about what kind of dieter you are and then look for the programs that will work best with your lifestyle. If you pick the right diet for you you will find that you are following a diet that actually works!

Understanding The Real Benefits and Drawbacks Of The South Beach Diet

<img src=”https://dietcleanse.org/”0″ alt=”Click Here” width=”300″ height=”250″ />

Today, the South Beach Diet has turned into a lifestyle method of healthy eating for an incredible number of Americans.  The South Beach Weight loss program is split up into three phases.  The South Beach diet plan is a well known temporary quick weight loss diet coupled with a continued calorie-controlled diet.  The second phase from the South Beach Weight loss program is where you will lose your weight.

The South Beach Diet was made by Dr Agatston, a cardiologist of Miami and diet professional Marie Almon.  The South Beach diet continues to be incredibly popular just because a large amount of people discover it’s simple to use and to follow.

Due to this, the South Beach Diet is sometimes known as a modified low-carb diet.  By eliminating all carbs in the diet for 2 weeks, the South Beach weight loss program states that reduces insulin resistance.  The South Beach diet rely on eating ‘good’ fats and carbs.

The South Beach Weight loss program is all of the craze nowadays.  It’s not quantitative about carbohydrate counts.  The South Beach Weight loss program is full of vegetables, whole grain products and beans.

My knowledge about South Beach Diet is only not so amazing in contrast.  The South Beach weight loss program is relatively recent, with no independent scholarly studies have been done onto it.  The worst part concerning the South Beach weight loss program is the false promise about being healthful for the cardiovascular system.

The South Beach Weight loss program is rapidly substituting Weight Watchers like an established brand with regards to weight reduction products.  However, the South Beach Diet has numerous rules of slimming down which are not the same as the Weight Watchers program. This diet is much more balanced than, say, the Atkins one.  Numerous people think that the South Beach Diet is much better than the Atkins one.

The drawbacks from this diet come from:

  • This diet is extremely demanding for people who are familiar with carb-rich diets
  • The dietary plan can function to be rather expensive and time intensive
  • Lapsing into old diet plan may lead to speedy putting on weight.

The dietary plan will need a lot of willpower, especially from carb-lovers. There’s always the risk of lapsing back to old diet plan and increasing carb intake without realising it. Dr. Agatston suggests that dieters that do lapse and wind up putting a few of the weight back on should instantly switch to phase one for a short period to be able to lose the surplus weight again.

So you? What do you think? Will it be suitable for you to follow a short-term weight loss program? Do you think you’ll be respecting its long term diet regime forever?
